Lucknow, India – Tragedy struck in Lucknow, India, when a taxi driver became an unintended victim in a case of mistaken identity orchestrated by hired hitmen. The incident, which occurred on December 30, has shocked the community and led to the arrest of lawyer Aaftab Ahmed in connection with the murder.
According to reports, Ahmed allegedly contracted a group of hitmen to carry out the killing of the family members of his girlfriend. However, the plan went awry when the hitmen mistakenly targeted Mohammad Rizwan, a taxi driver in the Madehganj area, instead of the intended victim.
Authorities have disclosed that Ahmed, the mastermind behind the murder plot, enlisted the help of individuals named Yasir and Krishnakant to carry out the attack. Their mission was to eliminate the father of Ahmed’s girlfriend, Irfan, but due to a fatal error, Rizwan fell victim to the hitmen’s lethal intentions.
Following the botched assassination, law enforcement officials seized crucial evidence, including the murder weapon, a motorcycle used in the crime, and the cell phones belonging to the perpetrators. The recovered live ammunition and other incriminating items have been instrumental in building a case against the suspects.
In a surprising turn of events, it was revealed that Ahmed reneged on paying the hitmen the full amount promised for the job after the plan went disastrously wrong. The subsequent fallout from this decision has added a layer of complexity to the investigation as authorities work to unravel the motives behind the deadly mistake.
As the investigation continues to unfold, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Raveena Tyagi has confirmed that the accused individuals will soon face legal proceedings. The tragic death of Mohammad Rizwan serves as a stark reminder of the consequences that can arise from acts of violence and criminal intent in the pursuit of personal vendettas.
