HIALEAH Fugitive Alberto Gonzalez Wanted for Arson in Barbershop Burglary

HIALEAH, Fla. – Police in Hialeah are seeking the public’s help in locating a fugitive by the name of Alberto Gonzalez. The 56-year-old suspect is currently on the run following the arrest of his alleged co-conspirator, 38-year-old Miguel Reyes Jr.

According to detectives, Gonzalez and Reyes are accused of using explosive devices to start a fire during a recent burglary at a barbershop located in a small strip mall in Hialeah. Reyes was apprehended by Hialeah police officers and appeared in court at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County.

During his court appearance, Reyes was ordered to stay away from the commercial property where the incident took place, and was denied bond for charges including burglary and first-degree felony arson. However, a bond of $7,500 was set for the use of a bomb or destructive device causing disruption. Gonzalez is currently wanted on the same charges and remains at large.
