Here is How Biden’s Age Has Already Affected His Job

Joe Biden’s age has been the subject of great concern. His age is being heavily discussed in the media because he officially announced his intention to seek another term as President.   However, a recent report demonstrates this issue’s critical in the 2024 election.

Biden’s announcement last Tuesday has caused many to wonder if he has the necessary mental strength and skills to lead the nation for another four years. Axios wrote an article about Biden’s work schedule three days after the campaign was announced. The article revealed that his schedule does not meet the usual expectations for a President. According to the article, White House workers have noted that getting Biden to schedule public or private engagements in the mornings, nights, and weekends is extremely tough. On weekdays, most of his commitments occur between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A study found that since the start of 2023, Biden has only participated in four public activities before 10 a.m. and has attended mostly dinners or receptions, totaling 12 events, after 6 p.m.

According to The New York Post, Joe Biden works approximately 30 hours per week, 10 hours less than the average working hours for an American. It is also less than the 35-hour work week common in France. This is not the first time Biden’s short work week has been discussed, as former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki commented last month that Biden is a “night owl”  despite claims that he finishes work at 7 p.m. According to Psaki, Biden accomplishes very little at 9 a.m.

President Biden works fewer hours than the average American but also earns significantly more, with an annual income of around $400,000. This is more than six times the national average salary of $58,563. Some may argue that such a high wage is only achievable through excelling in a difficult or elite profession, such as a professional athlete or rocket scientist. However, this assumption requires that the person is both working and performing well. The truth is that Biden is neither working hard nor executing the job for which he was elected.

The role of the President requires constant accessibility to respond to emergencies at any time of day or night. The President has no set business hours, as they must always be on the job.

However, there are concerns that President Biden’s age may hinder his ability to perform his job duties. Biden’s gaffs are common knowledge, from asking why a dead woman wasn’t present to mispronouncing words and falling down stairs. Some believe that he cannot undertake difficult tasks and works as little as possible. Additionally, the Biden administration has experienced several domestic and international failures, damaging America’s credibility.

Despite these challenges, President Biden is seeking re-election in 2024. While age may not be a factor that the Democrats want to consider, it is becoming increasingly clear that it may play a role in the next presidential race.
