Heartbreaking Twist: Daughter of Convicted Murderer Placed in Foster Care Due to Father’s Crimes

Luton, England – Viewers of “24 Hours in Police Custody” were left heartbroken for the daughter of a convicted murderer after it was revealed that she has been placed in foster care as a result of her father’s wicked crimes. The Channel 4 program delved into the case of a double murder in which Anthony Bennison and Nicholas Papworth mowed down and stabbed two individuals after a petty row.

The evil pair also knifed a third person, leaving him seriously injured in the bloodbath. During the investigation, Papworth made the difficult decision to place his teenage daughter into foster care, as he had sole care of her and no other family members or relatives who were able to look after her.

Papworth had to give his verbal consent for her placement in foster care after the police force were granted an additional 12 hours to question him about the horrific crimes. While on the phone with his daughter, Papworth expressed his love for her and assured her that the foster arrangement was the best option for now, leaving viewers heartbroken at the fact that his daughter was now facing a completely different upbringing and future as a result of his own senseless acts of violence.

The two-part special reveals how officers untangled a web of “carnage” after the double killing in November 2022. Police had originally been called to a report of a hit-and-run but were instead met by a “scene of utter devastation.” Bennison and Papworth were convicted of 12 offenses in total, including murder and attempted murder, and were both jailed for life with minimum sentences of 34 years and 38 years, respectively.
