Hateful Mob Attacks Gay Couple in Queens – NYPD Seeks Leads on Suspects

Astoria, Queens – A violent attack on a gay couple by a group of teenagers in Astoria, Queens, has left the victims, both 36 years old, with physical injuries and emotional scars. The incident occurred last week around 7:30 p.m. as the victims were walking on Broadway near 33rd Street, when they were targeted by four individuals who subjected them to anti-gay slurs before launching a physical assault. The attackers allegedly threw hard objects at the couple before one of them proceeded to punch one of the victims in the face, causing swelling and bruising.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows three of the suspects, believed to be in their late teens, who have not yet been apprehended for their involvement in the hateful assault.
