Gunman on the Loose After Fatally Shooting 22-Year-Old Woman in East L.A. Car

LOS ANGELES, California – Authorities in East Los Angeles are currently searching for the perpetrator responsible for fatally shooting a 22-year-old woman, Lexus Gutierrez, last weekend. Gutierrez was tragically killed as she sat in a car near an elementary school in East L.A. on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on the 600 block of South Humphreys Avenue, close to Humphreys Avenue Elementary School. During the shooting, Gutierrez was in a friend’s car along with others, and tragically, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The attack also left the car owner injured in the hand, while another friend in the backseat miraculously escaped unharmed. According to relatives, Gutierrez sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head, and they are now seeking justice for her senseless killing. Patricia Ramirez, Gutierrez’s aunt, described her as a kind and loving individual with a big heart.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is leading the investigation into the shooting. They have reported that a small, four-door sedan was seen leaving the area following the shooting. Gutierrez’s family is appealing to the public for any information regarding the incident, hoping that security cameras in the vicinity may have captured the crime or that anyone with relevant details will come forward.
