Fatal Attempted Murder-Suicide Leaves One Dead in New London Apartment with Young Children Present

New London, Connecticut – Tragedy struck a New London apartment as a domestic violence incident resulted in a shooting, leaving one person dead and another critically injured. The incident occurred in the early morning hours while two young children were present in the home.

According to New London Police Department officials, the authorities were alerted to the violent situation at 159 Hawthorne Drive just after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they discovered a 30-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds and a 31-year-old man with a single gunshot wound. Both victims were swiftly taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.
