Fatal Ambush in West Palm Beach Leaves 20-Year-Old Dead in Shooting

West Palm Beach, Florida – Police are on the lookout for the perpetrator responsible for the shooting and killing of a 20-year-old man in what authorities are calling an ambush outside a home in West Palm Beach.

The victim has been identified as Brandon Gladston Watson from Palm Beach County, although his specific city of residence was not disclosed by police.

According to a statement released by the police, officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31st, on the 800 block of Ninth Street, near Division Avenue. They discovered Watson lying in the street and rushed him to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The crime scene was processed by investigators through the early hours of Thursday, with evidence including multiple bullet shells being collected. Witnesses in the vicinity have been interviewed and investigators believe that the shooting was a targeted attack.
