Family Seeks Justice and Support for Children After Salemtown Shooting Tragedy

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A tragic incident unfolded in Salemtown where a man lost his life during a shooting on Easter Sunday at a popular restaurant. The victim, 33-year-old Allen Beachem, leaves behind a devastated family, including four children. The Metro Nashville Police Department reported that the shooting occurred during brunch at Roasted Salemtown on Garfield Street, resulting in Beachem’s death and multiple injuries to others.

Keanna Lowe, Beachem’s second cousin, shared memories of him as a dedicated husband, father of four, volunteer firefighter, and military veteran. She described Beachem as a pillar of the community and a valued family member. According to Lowe, Beachem was in Nashville from Alabama to celebrate his wife and brother’s birthdays when the tragic incident took place.

In the chaos of the shooting, Lowe mentioned a possible interaction between a family member and the suspect that may have escalated the situation. She recounted how Beachem bravely tried to protect his loved ones from the gunman, sustaining gunshot wounds in the process. Lowe emphasized the selfless and courageous nature of Beachem, highlighting his unwavering love and commitment to his family.

The suspected shooter, 46-year-old Anton Rucker, was apprehended in Kentucky after authorities tracked him down at a residence in Princeton. Rucker, with a history of criminal convictions and pending charges, was sought in connection to Beachem’s homicide and injuries inflicted on others during the incident. Despite Rucker’s previous legal troubles and bond releases, Beachem’s family seeks justice for the senseless loss of life.

As the investigation progresses, additional charges are expected to be filed against Rucker for the harm caused to other patrons at the restaurant. Meanwhile, Beachem’s family is reaching out for support through a GoFundMe page established to assist his four children during this difficult time. Contributions can be made to honor Beachem’s memory and provide for his bereaved family.
