Explosive Alabama Attorney General Office Incident: $5,000 Reward Offered

Montgomery, Alabama – Governor Kay Ivey of Alabama has announced a $5,000 reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator or perpetrators involved in an explosion near the state Attorney General’s Office. The explosion occurred in the early hours of Saturday, Feb. 24, close to the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Bainbridge Street. Fortunately, there were no injuries or property damage reported as a result of the detonation.

Following the incident, Attorney General Steve Marshall issued a statement expressing gratitude that no staff or personnel were harmed by the explosive device. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has taken charge of the investigation and urges anyone with pertinent information to reach out without delay.

Authorities were alerted to the explosion on Monday, Feb. 26, at 8:19 a.m., notifying the State Bureau of Investigation. The FBI has also created a website for individuals to provide tips about the incident involving the explosive device.
