Explosions and Strikes Rock Occupied Sevastopol: Reports of Air Defence Systems in Action

Sevastopol, Crimea – A series of explosions rattled the city of Sevastopol on Saturday evening, causing concern among residents and authorities. The occupation authorities reported the activation of air defense systems, with targets being intercepted, while the Crimean Wind Telegram channel revealed strikes in various parts of the city.

Local residents described hearing approximately ten explosions in Sevastopol, with later reports of four additional blasts later in the evening. The Crimean Wind channel, relying on information from its subscribers, indicated that strikes had ignited a fire in Kozacha Bay, where Russia’s 810th Marine Brigade is stationed. The channel also reported that emergency responders were on their way to the scene.

Furthermore, the channel mentioned sightings of ships arriving in Sevastopol, accompanied by smoke in Cape Fiolent and a visible column of smoke in Inkerman. Additionally, a powerful explosion near Balaklava was reported, along with reports of a significant fire near the airport in Simferopol.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the self-proclaimed governor of Sevastopol, confirmed the activation of air defense systems in response to the attacks. He claimed that multiple air targets had been successfully intercepted, attributing the smoke in various areas to military maneuvers using camouflage equipment. Razvozhayev later asserted that Russian forces were fending off a substantial assault on Sevastopol, with over 10 missiles reportedly intercepted and the attack ongoing.

The situation in Sevastopol remains fluid, with concerns rising over the escalating violence in the region. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
