Explosion Survivor in ICU at GPH, Family Seeks Financial Help

Bush Lot Village, Guyana – The family of Anthony Ramlochan, known as ‘Bobby’, is reaching out for financial assistance after he was injured in a devastating boiler explosion at Hack Rice Mill in Region Five. The 20-year-old was one of three employees hurt in the incident last Thursday.

Ramlochan’s mother, Liloutie Ramlochan, revealed that her son had to be transferred from the New Amsterdam Hospital to the Georgetown Public Hospital due to a lack of available beds. He is currently being treated in the intensive care unit for severe burns sustained in the explosion. The family is now facing challenges with daily expenses and is seeking support as the mill owner’s promised financial assistance has not materialized yet.

The community has rallied around the Ramlochan family, coming together to provide donations and moral support during this difficult time. With Anthony’s condition requiring intensive care and a long road to recovery ahead, the family is grateful for any help they can receive.

In response to the outpouring of support, Liloutie Ramlochan expressed her gratitude for the kindness shown by neighbors, friends, and strangers alike. She emphasized the importance of coming together as a community in times of crisis and the impact that even small gestures of goodwill can have on those in need.

As the Ramlochan family navigates the challenges of Anthony’s treatment and recovery, they are reminded of the resilience and strength that can be found in unity and compassion. The road ahead may be difficult, but with the support of their community, they are determined to face it with hope and gratitude for the generosity they have received.
