Explosion Rocks Putin’s Key Gas Pipeline in Siberia for Second Time in Ten Months

In Khanty-Mansi, Siberia, a significant explosion has rocked Vladimir Putin’s crucial gas pipeline for the second time in less than a year. The blast on the Yamburg-Yelets 1 main supply pipe was captured on video, showing a massive fireball erupting in the region. The incident, which occurred near the village of Lykhma, resulted in a visible glow from the inferno and a smoke column that stretched for miles.

Authorities are urgently investigating the cause of the explosion, as this event comes amidst a series of sabotage strikes on key Russian energy facilities linked to ongoing conflicts. Despite the frequency of such strikes, Kyiv rarely claims responsibility for these incidents. The pipeline, which supplies gas from the Yamal peninsula in northern Siberia to European Russia, had to be cut due to the explosion, impacting gas supplies to the region.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in this remote explosion. However, this is not the first time that such an incident has occurred on this pipeline. In a previous explosion in May 2023, two people lost their lives, and three others were injured. The recent explosion follows a series of similar events, including an enormous explosion at one of Putin’s key weapons factories, which produces ballistic missiles used in military operations.

Clips shared online show the dramatic blaze near the western city of Izhevsk, further highlighting the volatile situation in the region. Another explosion at a military unit storing Putin’s prized missiles in Russia adds to the escalating tensions. The missile depot near the city of Volgograd was reportedly blasted by kamikaze drones, causing a massive blaze and leading to the evacuation of over 600 people from military housing at the unit.

Meanwhile, a former deputy prime minister of Ukraine has issued a stark warning, suggesting that World War Three may have already begun. Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze emphasized the need to weaken, isolate, and banish Putin’s regime to achieve peace and stability in the region. With ongoing conflicts and escalating tensions, the situation in Russia and Ukraine remains precarious, requiring concerted efforts to address the root causes of the crisis.
