Pilot Point, Texas – Authorities are currently investigating the cause of an explosion that resulted in three men being hospitalized in Pilot Point on Saturday afternoon.
The Denton County Fire Marshal reported that emergency responders were notified of the explosion at a property on FM 455 E around 12:35 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered three men in their mid-40s with various injuries and burns.
One of the men was transported to a hospital in Plano for treatment of burns, while the other men were taken to Medical City Denton Hospital. Due to adverse weather conditions, Air Medical services were unavailable for assistance, according to Pilot Point Police.
The individuals injured in the explosion were identified as ranch hands working on the property, as confirmed by fire officials. The exact cause of the explosion remains unknown, and there has been no update on the condition of the victims.
