Explosion at Fort Worth Hotel Leaves 21 Injured, Including Musume Sushi Restaurant Employees

FORT WORTH, Texas – After an explosion rocked the Sandman Hotel in downtown Fort Worth on Monday afternoon, authorities are providing updates on the 21 people who were injured.

According to emergency officials in Fort Worth, one patient is in critical condition, four others are facing serious injuries, and 16 people suffered minor injuries as a result of the blast.

Additionally, JPS Hospital in Fort Worth reported receiving four of the injured patients, while the remaining 17 patients were split between Harris Hospital and Baylor Scott and White All Saints Hospital, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Medstar.

Among those injured in the explosion are three employees of the Musume sushi restaurant located at the Sandman Hotel where the blast occurred. Co-founder Josh Babb expressed devastation over the incident and provided an update on the employees’ conditions, stating that they are being treated in the hospital and are in stable condition.

Efforts are ongoing to identify the individuals affected by the explosion and share their stories as the community comes together in the aftermath of this tragic event.
