Explosion and Investigation Underway After Car Crash in Henrico County

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – An investigation is underway after a car crashed into several parked cars outside of a tire shop in eastern Henrico County, resulting in a fiery explosion early Tuesday morning.

The incident, captured in a video obtained by 8News, shows a car traveling on Williamsburg Road before veering off the road and striking three parked cars in the lot of “Top Notch Tire and Auto Center”. The video then shows the car igniting and going up in flames.

The Henrico County Division of Police has provided limited details about the crash, but witnesses on the scene reported that the driver was ejected from the car and transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the three damaged parked cars were still in the parking lot, bearing the heavy effects of the crash.
