Elderly Woman Stabbed to Death on North Philadelphia Porch, 83-Year-Old Victim Identified as Dolores Robinson

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – An 83-year-old woman was tragically stabbed to death on the porch of her North Philadelphia home on Wednesday night, prompting a police investigation into the horrific crime.

The victim, identified as Dolores Robinson, was described by neighbors as a nice older woman who had lived on the street for over three decades. The incident occurred on the 2900 block of North 27th Street, where police responded to a call about a person with a weapon around 8 p.m.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found Robinson stabbed once in the neck on the front porch of her home and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small stated that an altercation seemed to have occurred on the open porch, prompting investigators to search for possible surveillance footage in the area.

Following the discovery of Robinson’s body, police began searching for a 47-year-old man, which led to a nearby home being surrounded by SWAT officers. A barricade situation followed, and the man was eventually taken into custody. At this point, however, it is unclear whether the man is connected to the case or has a history with the victim.

Furthermore, neighbors expressed their shock and anger at the senseless act, with one resident describing Robinson as a “neighborhood icon.” The community is devastated by the loss of such a beloved individual, and the authorities are actively pursuing a motive for the crime.

Despite the tragic incident, firefighters were also on the scene due to a reported smell of natural gas, although they determined that there was no immediate danger. As of now, no weapons have been recovered, and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
