El Paso Police Seek Driver Suspected in Circle K Gas Station Shooting After Couple’s Argument Escalates in Tragedy

El Paso, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded in El Paso, Texas when Gabriel Samuel Arnold, 24, allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, 26-year-old Kimberly Alaniss Segovia, at an apartment complex on the far East Side. The couple was reportedly seen arguing prior to the fatal shooting, as detailed in court documents obtained during the El Paso police homicide investigation.

According to a complaint affidavit filed by a detective, Arnold confessed to a friend that he shot Segovia 16 times with a 9mm handgun, expressing his reluctance to face a life sentence in jail. This shocking revelation led to the arrest of Arnold by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on Monday, April 22, following intensive investigations by the authorities.

Arnold, who was already facing legal trouble with pending DWI and burglary cases, was found to be out on bond at the time of the shooting. Detectives pieced together a timeline of Arnold’s movements before and after the incident, shedding light on the tragic events that transpired on the night of March 27 at the Tres Palmas Apartments.

Witnesses recalled seeing Segovia’s car arriving at a bar on the far East Side, accompanied by Arnold. Security footage showed the couple leaving the bar later that night, shortly before arriving at a Circle K gas station where they were spotted arguing by customers at the scene.

The situation escalated further as Arnold, reportedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, engaged in a heated exchange with Segovia before the fatal shots were fired at the apartment complex. The investigation revealed critical details linking Arnold to the crime scene, including the discovery of Segovia’s missing car and cellphone.

Evidence from security camera footage and witness testimonies played a crucial role in tracking Arnold’s movements following the shooting, leading to his eventual arrest. The case highlights the tragic consequences of domestic violence and underscores the importance of swift and thorough law enforcement action in such circumstances.
