Footage captured by a neighbor’s doorbell camera showed the rapid escalation of the fire, with explosions heard as the fire quickly spread through the house. While one person managed to escape unharmed, two others found themselves trapped in the loft as the fire blocked their exit. One of the trapped occupants fell from the roof, sustaining serious injuries that were fortunately not life-changing.
The London Fire Brigade responded to the scene with eight firefighting crews, rescuing a woman who was still on the roof when they arrived. The quick actions of a firefighter prevented her from falling to the ground, highlighting the bravery and skill of the emergency responders in the face of a dangerous situation.
