Des Plaines, Illinois – A tragic multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 294 near Golf Road in Des Plaines left at least one person dead and three others injured, according to Illinois State Police. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon at around 3:56 p.m. when four vehicles were involved in a chain reaction collision.
The crash resulted in the closure of three left lanes on southbound I-294 as authorities worked to investigate the scene. Thankfully, all lanes have since been reopened to traffic. The identity of the deceased driver has not been disclosed at this time.
