Denver, Colorado – The 25th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting was marked by a solemn vigil in Denver, Colorado, honoring the 13 victims who lost their lives during the tragic event. Among those remembered were students like Rachel Scott, Kyle Velasquez, and Corey DePooter, each with unique stories that reflected their hopes and dreams cut short by senseless violence.
The vigil, attended by about 150 people, saw the reading of short biographies of each victim, followed by the collective response of “never forgotten” and the tolling of a bell. As candles flickered on 13 empty chairs, the community came together to pay tribute to those who were taken too soon.
