Colorado Mother Accused of Murdering 2 Children Arrested in the UK, Further Information Withheld by Authorities

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A Colorado mother suspected of killing two of her children has been arrested in the United Kingdom, authorities confirmed on Sunday. Kimberlee Singler, 35, was apprehended by authorities in the UK on Dec. 30 after being accused of lying about a burglary at her home earlier this month, in which two of her three children were found dead and one was injured.

Singler has been wanted for the murder of two of her children, as well as injuring a third, in Colorado Springs, Colo. The mother and her injured daughter were treated at the scene before being transferred to a local hospital. The 11-year-old daughter is now recovering and is safe and accounted for in the Colorado Springs area, authorities said.

Prior to her arrest in the UK, Singler was last seen on Dec. 23, according to police. A warrant had been issued for her arrest on multiple counts, including felony murder in the first degree, felony attempted murder, felony child abuse, and felony assault in the first degree.

Authorities have not provided further details about the case and said no additional information would be shared until a later date. The initial report of a burglary was found to be “unfounded” after further investigation, police previously said. A court had set a $10 million bond for Singler, but the details of the arrest warrant were sealed under a court order, police said.

The case remains ongoing and the motive behind the tragic events is still under investigation by Colorado Springs police. No statements have been made as to why Singler fled to the UK, but authorities have confirmed that she is now in custody. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be shared with the public as it becomes available.
