HOUSTON, TX – Authorities in Houston are urging the public to assist in identifying a man suspected of shooting a store clerk during a robbery in the city’s southeast area earlier this year.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:25 a.m. on April 25 at a convenience store located on Belfort near Mykawa. According to investigators, the suspect entered the store wielding a small revolver and demanded that the clerk unlock a secured area.
When the clerk hesitated, the suspect fired a shot that struck the clerk in the leg through the doorknob opening, police reported. The suspect then forced his way inside the secured area, stole cash from the register, and fled the scene.
Authorities describe the suspect as a man standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing between 225 and 250 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark blue hoodie, blue pants with a white stripe, a black mask, black gloves, and white shoes, which may be Nike Jordan brand.
