CHESTER, S.C. – Tragedy struck as a 16-year-old lost their life in a shooting incident that took place on Spring Street at Gadsden Street. The Chester Police Department swiftly responded to the call just before midnight on Tuesday. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the victim receiving CPR from another individual of the same age.
During the investigation, search warrants led to the discovery of a substantial amount of marijuana and cash, further complicating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victim succumbed to their injuries, as confirmed by the coroner following the incident.
