Blast Leaves Three in Critical Condition at Jinnah Road, Balochistan

QUETTA, Balochistan – A blast at the city’s Jinnah Road has left three people dead and five others injured, according to officials. The explosion, the nature of which is yet to be determined, has once again brought terrorism to the forefront in Pakistan’s restive province of Balochistan.

Local police are currently investigating the cause of the explosion, while the Civil Hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. Shahid, has confirmed that three of the injured individuals are in critical condition. Following the incident, an emergency has been imposed at the medical facility.

The unfortunate blast comes just eight days before the February 8 general elections in Pakistan, prompting heightened security measures across the country. Law enforcers have been deployed to maintain law and order in the region amidst the ongoing political activities.

Sibi Deputy Commissioner Khuda-e-Rahim has noted that the explosion took place as a rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was passing through the city. This raises concerns about the safety of political gatherings and the potential risks faced by participants and bystanders during this volatile time.

As the investigation into the blast continues, authorities are working to ensure the safety and security of the public. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the ongoing threats faced by the people of Balochistan, and the urgent need for effective measures to combat terrorism in the region.
