Beating at Comedy Store: Pauly Shore Faces Lawsuit Over Bouncers Heard Yelling ‘This Is For Pauly!’

Los Angeles, California – A lawsuit has been filed against comedian and actor Pauly Shore over an incident that took place at his renowned Comedy Store venue in Los Angeles. Plaintiff Eliot Preschutti alleges that on December 15, 2023, he was violently attacked by multiple bouncers at the club, with some reportedly shouting, “This is for Pauly!” during the assault.

Legal documents obtained by sources detailed the alleged damages suffered by Preschutti, including battery, assault, emotional distress, negligence, and other claims. The lawsuit accuses all defendants of conspiring to harm Preschutti and details the events leading up to the attack, believed to have stemmed from an unpaid bar tab.

This is not the first time Shore has faced legal trouble related to his employees’ actions at The Comedy Store. Another lawsuit was filed earlier this year, accusing Shore and the venue of bouncers violently assaulting patrons. Shore’s family has deep roots in the entertainment industry, with Mitzi Shore, Pauly’s mother, having owned and operated The Comedy Store for many years.

On the night of the incident, Preschutti reportedly left the club without closing his tab, leading to an altercation with bouncers outside. The situation escalated, resulting in a brutal assault that left Preschutti with severe physical and emotional injuries.

A video of the attack has circulated online, prompting Preschutti to seek compensatory and punitive damages through a trial. The lawsuit highlights the alleged negligence and violence on the part of the Comedy Store’s staff, painting a disturbing picture of the events that transpired that night.
