Assaulted Somerset Mother Receives Over $20,000 in Donations After Horrific Road Rage Incident

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Somerset mother who fell victim to a vicious road rage attack last week continues to receive an outpouring of support from generous donors. Hailea Soares, 31, was captured on dash cam video being brutally assaulted at a busy Attleboro intersection on Friday.

According to witnesses, the altercation unfolded after Soares rear-ended 26-year-old Gladior Kwesiah’s vehicle near Newport and Highland Avenues. Reports state that Kwesiah proceeded to forcefully remove Soares from her car after banging on its roof. Witnesses recounted hearing a heated exchange between the two, with Soares pleading to be left alone.

Soares, now dealing with a broken knee, foot, and a deep facial gash, expressed her shock at the violent attack, stating that she did not provoke Kwesiah in any way. Expressing her devastation, Soares’ mother, Kimberly Soares, described the harrowing experience of seeing her daughter being thrown around like a rag doll.

Kwesiah, arrested following the incident, faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious injury, malicious destruction of property, and driving without a license. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to aid Soares in her recovery, with donations nearing $20,000.

Despite the traumatic event, Soares remains grateful for her survival and the chance to be with her family. Looking ahead, she hopes such senseless acts of violence will never occur again, emphasizing the importance of safety on the road.
