Assault in West Hollywood on Surveillance Cameras | Help Sought in Identifying Suspect

Los Angeles, California – Authorities in West Hollywood are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect who was caught on surveillance cameras assaulting a Block-By-Block Security Ambassador with a deadly weapon. The incident occurred on February 15 at around 1:20 a.m. in the 7300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, according to a bulletin from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The footage of the incident shows two individuals with flashlights, one of whom is walking a dog, interacting with the security ambassador before the situation escalates into a physical confrontation. The altercation takes place on the sidewalk and eventually spills out into the middle of Santa Monica Boulevard.

One of the suspects has been arrested, but a second suspect remains at large. The individual at large is described as an adult male, approximately 30-40 years old, standing around 5 feet 10 inches and weighing around 190 pounds.

Deputies from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station found one of the suspects and arrested them on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Authorities stated that the security ambassador was not only beaten with a flashlight but was also hit with pepper spray.
