Assailants Identified: Edmonton Police Seek Public Assistance in 64-Year-Old Man’s LRT Assault and Robbery

Edmonton, Alberta – Edmonton police have identified three out of six suspects involved in the brutal attack and robbery of a 64-year-old man at the Churchill LRT station. The victim was waiting for a train on the ground-level platform when he was approached by a man, leading to a violent assault by a group of assailants.

After the attack, an emergency medical services crew treated the victim and took him to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Surveillance footage was released by investigators, leading to the arrest of two individuals, with a warrant out for a third suspect. The identities of the remaining three suspects are still unknown, prompting the police to seek tips from the public.

One of the male suspects was reportedly armed with pepper spray, while another was seen riding a bicycle. The group also included a female suspect. Const. Anton Golosov expressed gratitude for the public’s assistance thus far and urged anyone who recognizes the suspects in the surveillance photos to come forward with information.

Markus Lee Gladue, 21, is currently wanted on warrants for aggravated assault, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, and robbery. Brady Rodney Desroches-Smith, 28, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery, with additional warrants for first-degree murder. Travis Damian Houle, 35, is facing charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a probation order.
