Arrests Made in Killing of B.C. Sikh Activist: Government Hit Squad Exposed in Canada

Surrey, British Columbia – Canadian authorities have made significant arrests in connection to the politically charged killing of prominent Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar last June. Sources close to the investigation revealed that the suspects are believed to be members of an alleged hit squad, with ties to the government of India.

The investigation also extends to possible links with three other murders in Canada, including the tragic shooting death of an 11-year-old boy in Edmonton. The suspects in Nijjar’s case allegedly played various roles in his assassination, such as shooters, drivers, and spotters during the incident at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey.

Following police operations in multiple provinces, the suspects were apprehended on Friday. The individuals, identified as Kamalpreet Singh, Karanpreet Singh, and Karan Brar, are facing charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy related to Nijjar’s case. The charges, filed in a Surrey court, have yet to be tested in court.

While authorities are anticipated to disclose additional details of the investigation, the complex case delves into potential connections between the killings and alleged involvement of Indian government officials. The investigation sheds light on patterns of international cooperation between governments and criminal elements in executing clandestine operations.

The arrests come amidst a crucial period in India, as the nation undergoes a national election. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi vying for a third term, the investigation raises questions about the involvement of foreign governments in orchestrating criminal activities beyond their borders. The case underscores the complexities of international relations and the challenges of law enforcement in tackling transnational crimes.
