KENNEDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Three men have been arrested in connection with the disappearance and death of a man from Westmoreland County, as reported by Allegheny County police. The trio has been charged in the death of George Dayieb, 57, of Murrysville, stemming from a nearly $440,000 business debt.
Fisher, Fortuna, and Elliott are facing criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, and abuse of a corpse charge. The investigation began when a significant other reported Dayieb missing and endangered to Murrysville police. Detectives learned that Dayieb had left his home to meet with Fisher to collect a large debt of over $439,000, as the two were business partners in an excavation company based in Robinson Township.
The police allege that Fisher conspired with the other two men to kill Dayieb. Video evidence showed Dayieb entering Fisher’s vehicle near a gas station in Coraopolis, unaware that Fortuna was following them in another truck. Elliott attempted to shoot Dayieb on the highway but misfired, following which the vehicles pulled over at a gas station to fix the gun. Shortly after, Dayieb was shot and killed, and his body was taken to a camp in Licking Township, Clarion County, where he was concealed in an abandoned trailer.
After a search warrant was secured, state police discovered Dayieb’s body in the trailer. Fortuna and Elliott have been arrested and are being held at the Allegheny County Jail, while Fisher was taken into custody after suffering a medical emergency. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 12.
Fisher, who has a history of financial problems, including court judgments and bankruptcy, has been charged with the grave crime of being involved in a homicide due to a large business debt.
