Arrested Man Allegedly Threatens Girlfriend’s Life

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A man was taken into custody after his girlfriend reported a violent assault that occurred on Friday, leading to his arrest on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a bond set at $65,000.

According to the arrest affidavit, the San Antonio Police responded to a call from a woman who stated that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, Johnathan Turner, 28, at their Northwest side residence.

Reports indicate that Turner allegedly pulled the woman’s hair, punched her multiple times in the face, and kicked her while she was on the ground. He then reportedly grabbed a gun and held it to her temple, causing her pain and suffering in the process.

The victim told authorities that she experienced pain in her scalp, face, and swelling where Turner had placed the gun on her temple.

After the incident, Turner was taken into custody and now waits for his prehearing in Bexar County Jail, scheduled for March.
