Arrest Made in Murder of Louisville Father of 8: Lamarr Jones Apprehended in Alabama

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man has been apprehended by police for the murder of a Louisville father. Lamarr Jones, 37, was wanted for the murder of Terrez Cureton on the night of Aug. 15 in the Portland neighborhood. Cureton was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He leaves behind a wife and eight children.

Jones was arrested in Florence, Alabama with the assistance of the LMPD Fugitive Unit, U.S. Marshals, and the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office. However, the specific charges Jones is facing and his extradition back to Kentucky have not been disclosed by the LMPD.
