Arrest Made in Murder of Former HBCU Basketball Coach Samuel Jackson

Atlanta, Georgia – A man has been taken into custody by Atlanta police on charges related to the murder of a former basketball coach from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

Iquane Brown, 30, has been arrested in connection to the death of 59-year-old Samuel Jackson. Brown faces a range of charges, including murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, hijacking of a motor vehicle, kidnapping, firearm-related offenses, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is currently being held at the Houston County Jail on unrelated charges.
