Arrest Made in Murder Case: 19-Year-Old Charged with First-Degree Murder and Armed Robbery

BATON ROUGE, La. – A 19-year-old has been arrested by the Baton Rouge Police Department for her suspected connection to the shooting death of another 19-year-old, Malik Clark.

Raiyion Harris, the 19-year-old suspect, was taken into custody on Friday afternoon and has been charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery, according to the police. The shooting occurred on July 26, 2023, at 225 South River Road around 2:50 a.m.

Authorities reported that Harris and Clark had planned to rob a victim of his personal belongings, which resulted in a confrontation where the victim shot and killed Clark.

Harris has been booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison to face the charges of 1st Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.
