Arrest Made in Colleton County Triple Homicide: Justin Dupont Charged with Three Counts of Murder

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Authorities have apprehended a suspect in the tragic triple homicide that occurred in Colleton County last month, claiming the lives of three individuals, including a 2-year-old child. Justin Dupont, 23, from Walterboro, has been charged with three counts of murder in connection to this heinous crime.

The incident took place on May 18th in the early hours of the morning when law enforcement responded to reports of three deceased victims at a residence on Hayden Street. The victims were identified as Harvel Breland, 49, Alisha Gardner, 43, and 2-year-old Asiyra Cole, who were all found shot to death in what authorities have described as a targeted attack.

Furthermore, Jameek Glover, the first individual charged in connection to the crime, had initially faced charges of accessory after the fact of murder. However, his charges have since been upgraded to three counts of murder, reflecting the severity of the situation.

In the aftermath of the murders, detectives released an image of a vehicle linked to the homicide and belonging to Glover, which led to his initial arrest. The ongoing investigation suggests that there may still be a third suspect involved, prompting authorities to continue their efforts to bring all responsible parties to justice.

Both Dupont and Glover are currently detained at the Colleton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing, as law enforcement officials intensify their search for the remaining suspect. Updates on the case will be provided as the investigation progresses.
