Alley Shooting Leaves One Dead, Another in Critical Condition in Chicago’s Homan Square

Chicago, Illinois – A tragic shooting took place in a West Side alley, resulting in the death of one individual and leaving another in critical condition, as reported by the Chicago police.

The incident occurred in the Homan Square neighborhood on the 3500-block of West Polk Street just before 6 p.m. According to law enforcement officials, a 25-year-old man and a female victim were shot while in the alley.

The male victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head, was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in grave condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The female victim, whose age was not immediately disclosed, was also taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition for treatment.

Area Four detectives have taken on the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have yet to release additional details regarding the incident.
