HOUSTON, TX – A tragic incident unfolded near the University of Houston when a 16-year-old was discovered deceased in an apartment complex elevator on December 12. An 18-year-old has been taken into custody and charged with the murder of the teenager for reportedly instructing him to partake in an armed robbery that ultimately resulted in his untimely death, as per court documents.
According to the documents, the 18-year-old, Larry Holmes, allegedly advised the teen to carry out a gunpoint robbery of two men at the complex on Elgin Street. The fatal shooting occurred during the robbery, resulting in the tragic loss of the young victim.
Following the incident, security guards at the apartment complex reported hearing multiple gunshots before a resident on the 17th floor discovered the deceased teen in the elevator.
