Woman charged in violent Broad Ripple attack after spray painting 50 cars in parking garage robbery

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – An Indianapolis woman, Denise Honorio, has been accused of a series of violent crimes, including robbery and vandalism, sparking widespread concern and alarm in the local community. The charges against Honorio arose from separate incidents, highlighting the concerning pattern of her behavior.

Authorities have accused Honorio of the vandalism of over 50 cars in a downtown parking garage, which resulted in significant property damages. Additionally, she is facing charges for a violent robbery on the same day as the vandalism, where she allegedly attacked a hospital worker and caused significant injuries. Honorio was subsequently identified as a suspect in another violent assault outside a Broad Ripple grocery store two days after the robbery and vandalism occurred.

The initial incident of vandalism took place in a parking garage off Washington Street, with the suspect spray painting more than 50 cars with white paint, causing extensive damage. Surveillance footage captured the woman, identified as Honorio, walking between parked cars and defacing them with the spray paint. A subsequent search of her clothing led to the discovery of an item linked to the scene of the vandalism.

Days later, additional claims surfaced, linking Honorio to an assault in a Fresh Thyme parking lot. The victim reported being struck by Honorio, resulting in a broken hip and elbow, further demonstrating the severity and violent nature of the crimes attributed to the accused.

Further investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at Honorio’s apartment, where additional evidence was discovered, directly connecting her to the crimes. As a result, Honorio has been charged with aggravated battery in connection to the assault outside the Broad Ripple grocery store, amplifying the gravity of the allegations against her.

The series of crimes attributed to Honorio has caused a stir in the local community and has sparked concern for public safety. As legal proceedings unfold, the community remains vigilant and awaited the outcome of the impending trial.
