Agartala, Tripura — Following a violent incident during a bandh in Santirbazar, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed a firm commitment to hold accountable those responsible for the attacks that left several injured. The unrest, which unfolded in the Dhalai district, has drawn intense scrutiny and condemnation from state officials.

Dr. Saha visited the GBP Hospital to assess the injuries of the victims, who were attacked while participating in a strike organized by the Tripura Civil Society. Describing the chaotic scene, Dr. Saha stated that individuals were assaulted with sticks and rods, and personal belongings were wrested from them. He labeled such actions as unacceptable and questioned the nature of the protest. “I monitored the situation overnight and directed the response. This behavior is beyond tolerance,” he said.
