Tragic Jackson County Crash Claims Multiple Lives, Child in Critical Condition

Jackson County, Oklahoma – A tragic crash in Jackson County on Thursday, Feb. 6, resulted in multiple fatalities. The incident occurred just before 4:00 p.m. a few miles east of Duke at the intersection of US 62 and S. County Road 194.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the crash involved two vehicles. Landreth Emswiler, 36, of Mountain Park, and two juvenile girls were pronounced dead at the scene. An 8-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital in Wichita Falls in critical condition.

The identities of the driver and passenger of the second vehicle have not been disclosed at this time. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
