Reports indicate that she was attacked allegedly by her husband on Tuesday afternoon at their residence on Assegaai Avenue.
The local police have initiated an investigation, but as of now, no arrests have been made. Captain FC Van Wyk, a police spokesperson, confirmed that Birch suffered multiple stab wounds to her head, back, and shoulder. She was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
