Charlotte, North Carolina – A suspect wanted for the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old in north Charlotte back in March has been identified by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, authorities announced on Monday.
The incident took place on Thursday, March 14th near 4500 Tanager Park Drive off Sunset Road in north Charlotte, where Nasir Boyd, 20, was found with gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby medical center, Boyd succumbed to his injuries.
After nearly two months of investigation, detectives have named Reginald Harrison, 21, as the suspect in the case and consider him to be armed and dangerous.
Various departments, including the Charlotte Fire Department, victim services, Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), and operations command, were all involved in responding to the scene. Detective Fitch has taken the lead in the investigation.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding Harrison’s whereabouts to come forward as the investigation into the shooting continues to unfold. The community is advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately.
