ST. LOUIS, MO – A 75-year-old woman is seeking answers after a deadly incident unfolded involving her stolen SUV. Regina Dennis Nana found herself in a terrifying situation when two young men approached her vehicle on North 19th Street while she was talking with another woman. The encounter quickly escalated when one of the men brandished a gun and ordered her and the other woman to leave their cars.
Faced with the threat of violence, Regina chose to comply, prioritizing her safety in the tense moment. She recounted the interaction, noting how she was surrounded by individuals pointing guns at her from both sides. With no other option, she relinquished her vehicle, hoping to avoid further danger.
The suspects, described as young individuals, fled the scene in Regina’s SUV, while two others took the second woman’s car. Regina, understandably shaken by the ordeal, expressed her concern about the age of the perpetrators, describing them as “young children.”
Approximately half an hour later, law enforcement discovered Regina’s SUV crashed into a parked car near the intersection of Winnebago and Minnesota. Inside the vehicle, an 18-year-old man was found shot dead in the backseat. Authorities are still investigating his involvement in the carjacking.
