Shooting Claims Life of 34-Year-Old in South Jordan: Police Make Arrest, Search for Accomplice

South Jordan, Utah — A 34-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday morning, prompting a police investigation that led to one arrest and an ongoing manhunt for another suspect.

Authorities responded to reports of gunfire just after 1:45 a.m. in the vicinity of 11500 South Copper Stone Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed, although officials have informed his family.

Police arrested Kevin Scarbourough, 38, a suspect linked to the incident. He was apprehended a short distance from the crime scene and has been booked on suspicion of murder. Eyewitness accounts indicate that Scarbourough was involved in a physical altercation with the victim prior to the shooting. Witnesses claimed that Scarbourough urged another individual to shoot the victim during the confrontation.
