This incident is the fourth reported homicide in less than 24 hours. The violence began early Saturday morning when a man was shot and killed after a confrontation at a residence in east Charlotte. Later that day, police looked into two more shootings, one occurring on North Graham Street and another on Park Fairfax Drive, both resulting in fatalities.
On Sunday at approximately 1:25 a.m., off-duty officers near the Coyote Joe’s bar, located on Wilkinson Boulevard, responded to gunfire reported in the parking lot. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene, according to police statements.
