Indianapolis, Indiana – A man lost his life in a tragic shooting that took place inside a plasma donation center on the east side of the city, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at Grifols Biomat USA-Plasma Donation Center on North Post Road, with the police responding to reports of the shooting around 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim remains unidentified as of Tuesday night.
Eyewitnesses shared their harrowing experiences, with one individual recalling the sound of gunshots ringing out as they sought refuge in the facility. Amidst the chaos, some individuals were seen hastily removing IVs and fleeing for safety.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Officer Drew Brown mentioned that a person of interest was apprehended at a residence located near the area where the shooting unfolded.
There were reports of a verbal altercation between the victim and the shooter, although authorities are still investigating the nature of their relationship. Officer Brown emphasized that the incident appears to be isolated, despite the ongoing inquiries into witness testimonies.
