The victim has been identified as Kendrick Lesesne, who was driving a silver Hyundai when the confrontation escalated. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 7:30 p.m. near Northwest 199 Street, where they found Lesesne suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting.
Witnesses indicated that an off-duty sergeant from the Biscayne Park Police Department observed Lesesne driving erratically prior to the incident. According to his account, Lesesne’s vehicle collided with a black Cadillac, a critical moment that may have instigated the subsequent gunfire.
