Baltimore County, Maryland – Tragedy struck in two separate locations across Maryland on Tuesday, with fatal shootings leaving communities in shock. In Anne Arundel County, a shooting incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals, while two others sustained injuries. Meanwhile, in a disturbing turn of events in Baltimore County, a 16-year-old boy lost his life after being targeted in front of his high school.
Reports from law enforcement revealed that the teenage victim was ambushed while standing in a shopping center, where a shooter emerged from a car and opened fire. Desperately trying to escape, the 16-year-old fled to Lansdowne High School, only to be relentlessly pursued by the assailant. Tragically, the young victim was shot multiple times, with the shooter callously approaching him as he fell to the ground, firing more rounds.
As authorities diligently worked to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic incidents, several individuals were questioned, although no arrests have been made public. In a bid to encourage community cooperation, Metro Crime Stoppers announced a $2,000 reward for any valuable information. Adding to the grim narrative of gun violence in the state, Anne Arundel County witnessed the fatal shootings of 23-year-old Derrick McDonald and 28-year-old Mack Galloway III in Severn on the same evening.
Further details revealed that in addition to the two fatalities, two other men sustained injuries, fortunately non-life-threatening, as a result of the shooting.
