SAN DIEGO, California – A 43-year-old man named Ali Jabbar was fatally shot by an unidentified assailant over the Presidents Day weekend while walking with a group on an East Village sidewalk. The incident occurred in front of an apartment building in the 600 block of 16th Street. San Diego Police Department reported that patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3 p.m. Sunday and found Jabbar in that location. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
